Summer Activities in Hlíðarfjall 2018

For nearly 40 years the mountain Hlíðarfjall has been one of the prime skiing areas of Iceland. Akureyri ski resort is located just 10 minutes drive from the center of the town and is a great area for mountain biking an hiking during summer.
The chairlift, Fjarkinn, will be open from Friday to Sunday every weekend from 6th July until 26th August from 10am - 5pm.
Lift tickets can be purchased at the lift and also online on Hlíðarfjall website, http://www.hlidarfjall.is/en
Cyclists can take their bikes with them in the lift, and those who only want to go up to enjoy the fantastic view over Akureyri and Eyjafjörð in Strýtuskála can purchase tickets both up with the lift and back down.
